TOFG Month 2 Chaos Marines

Month 2 done. 10 Chaos Marines of the Black Legion persuasion. Champion with power weapon and plasma pistol, 2 plasma guns and an undecided mark, can change depending on needs for the army and who im playing, +1 intitiative not exactly needed against guard for instance so maybe an extra attack or inv save. Am quite pleased with these only took me 5 days few hours each day to paint. luckily started before xmas get a head start.

Planned Space Wolves list *first draft*

Just because Im bored and off work I thought Id make a list for my future Space Wolves project, first 2000pts.

HQ - 270* Njal Stormcaller - Terminator Armour
180* Ulrik the Slayer -
135* Rune Priest - Plasma Pistol, Wolftooth Necklace, Saga of the Beastslayer,

Elites - 237* Wolf Guard - 4x Terminator Armour, 2x Thunder Hammer, 2x Stormshield, 2x Wolf Claws, Cyclone Missile Launcher
65* Lone Wolf - Terminator Armour, 2x Wolf Claws

Troops - 180* 10 Grey Hunters - 2x Melta Gun, Power Weapon, Wolf Standard
175* 10 Grey Hunters - 2x Flamer, Power Weapon, Wolf Standard
325* 9 Blood CLaws - Power Wepon, Lukas the Trickster, Drop Pod (inc Ulrik)

Fast Attack - 125* 5 Skyclaws - Melta Gun, Powerfist
70* Landspeeder - Heavy Flamer, Multi-melta

Heavy Support - 115* Predator - Twinlink Lascannon, Hunterkiller Missile
115* Predator - Twinlink Lascannon, Hunterkiller Missile

TOTAL 1992

Right, plan is Njal and the 2 Thunder Hammers will form up and draw alot of fire while his storm causes no end of problems for my oppo. The cyclone will go with the 2x melta Grey hunters to tank and big thing hunt, 4x str 8 shots 2 at AP1 cant beat that. The Claw Terminator will go with the flamer squad and infantry hunt, they can pack a punch is shooting and combat. the bloodclaws with ulrik and lukas drop in on first turn where they can deal with infantry, hq or anything big or nurgle like. the rune priest i can put him with any squad i fell needs an extra pair of hands, i havnt decided on which powers to give him yet, world wolf def but cant decide on 2nd power yet, theres alot of good ones and some only good if you know your up against a jetbike, deepstrike heavy army and 1 thats great for slowing down inf unless they have fleet or move through cover. my skyclaws and speeder are there do A distract and B destroy anything thats flanking or poses a objective taking threat, in KP missions i may be more cautious with these units as thier easy kills. i decided on 2 preds with 1 lascannon each over 1 with 3 as with the new LOS rules is hard to get all 3 lascannons to bear on 1 target and also means enemy has to split thier fire, and so can i.

so there we go what do you think? id like some feedback from current Space Wolf players as this will be my first drop into them, ive done marines before but I tend to favour ranged combat this will be my first melee heavy(apart from my chaos) list

The Chronicles of Bel-Tzaxx Part 2

The planet is burning, the search continues. . . . .

The Warband is refreshed and now we have the Imperials in our sight, they have something we want.

Under the cover of darkness the Warband made is preparations. The Imperial knew we were coming, there gun line looked intimidating, lucky for us they couldn't see past their noses in the blackness, its a good omen when the stars remain hidden and the moon is covered. Tzeentch must be watching. Bel-Tzaxx had returned and was eager to show Tzeentch he could fulfil his part, he wouldn't be given another chance. As the dawn began to break the order was given to engange, Cyclor took his unit down the NE flank eager to get to grips with the many heavy weapons on display. The mighty wings of the Daemonprince gave flight to his powerful form as he took off down the SW flank, his shadowy form attracting some attention from the Guardsmen. Bolter fire lit up the cover being used by the Marines, Mortaan and Tzeruuz leading their squads right up the middle. They had to be fast before the sun rose and they lost the advantage of their enhanced vision. after taking some fire Bel-Tzaxx smashed in to the Guard lines his power an unstoppable force in the face of the soft humans. The marines in the cover advanced laying down flamer and Bolter fire on the Guard who quickly began to crumble under the relentless advance, only Mortaans unit remained held their ground, the part of the battlefield they held was a tactical strong point they could not lose. Jet engines screamed overhead and before Mortaan could issue and odder a unit of well equipped humans dropped in behind them from a bulky formed flying transport. An earth shattering explosion threw him off his feet and a demo charge exploded nearby, melta blasts tore into the unit, two marines didn't get up but those who did charged the humans, clearly stunned there were any marines left. They marines made quick work of killing them, Mortaan accounting for three with his power weapon, the Gods would be pleased. As Cyclor arrived the battle was teetering on a knife edge, the marines had taken a beating from the heavy weapons but the Guard were dwindling and there commander had fled the battlefield from Bel-traxx's ferocious charge. The arrival of the Chosen was enough to tip the balance and the job of mopping up was beginning, none could survive, damn the escape of the commander now the Imperials would know Chaos was here. In a "feigned" retreat Mortaan shot down the flying machine, showing he was the right choice for champion and Bel-tzaxx smashed into the remaining part crushing the crew in their seats. After salvaging what they could the Warband returned to camp, enraged the Imperials didnt have the item they were after.

Bel-tzaxx - Survived (Proved his worth to his patron God and has many skulls to polish)
Cyclor - Survived (Has received a blessing from Khorne, this troubles him)
Tzeruus - Wounded (Injured again but his body grows and heals anew)
Mortaan - Survived (After his "brave" move was given first choice on spoils)

Our search has yet to yield the artifacts but the power of chaos grows. The Imperials have taken a beating and fall back to lick thier wounds, the Orks spread as only Orks can. As of the Tau, we have seen glimpses of green armoured skimmers but have yet to witness a full force, there plans in this area are still unkown.

+++Reinforcements arrive in vaster numbers, I hear the unmistakable sound of Possessed engines of war, and something else, that smell, rank, decaying. My plans are coming into focus, Tzeentch has shown me the way.+++

The Chronicles of Bel-Tzaxx. Part 1

This planet smells like Death. . . . .

Bel-Tzaxx is summoned, the artifacts will be ours, this planet will fall. As news of the spoils travel more Chaos will arrive and my warband will grow.

As they watched from the ridge the Orks and Imperials took a heavy toll on each other. Cyclor, champion of the Word Bearer Chosen returned with news of Ork reinforcements coming in from the East. They would pass through the camp, this could not be allowed. No-one could know they were here yet. The warband boarded its Rhinos and sped off to meet them head on, the only way you could fight Orks, things didn't go well. Clearly fueled by the desire to destroy the Orks were baying for blood, they didn't care whose. The Chosen made a flanking maneuver in an effort to catch them in a crossfire but were delayed when a ruin fell in front of their Rhino forcing them to take a longer route. As the battle was joined Bel-Tzaxx's over eagerness to end this fast left him ahead of the main force, he was charged by many orks, literally thrown from their speeding, smoking wreck of a Truck. The combat was fast and bloody but the Orks were too many and he slipped back into the warp, cursing his lack of control. The Orks showing a surprising display of accuracy cut down many Marines with their heavy weapons, Orks with heavy weapons, the universe has truly gone made. The ensuing combats were swift and bloody and the Marines broke before the onslaught, live to fight another day. Just as the last Marines died or left the battlefield, Cyclor and his Chosen arrived. Rage overtook them, at the loss and the cowardice of his allies. Trying do what the other could not he ordered the Rhino to open up on the furthest squad of Orks while his men loaded Bolters and cut down many greenskins. Despite the damage done their late arival has seen this battle lost, they embarked on the Rhino and left to find the tattered remnants of the warband.

Bel-Tzaxx (Daemonprince of Tzeentch) - Lost (the summoning begins, again)
Cyclor (Word Bearers) - Survived (seriously pissed off)
Tzeruuz (The Scourged) - Wounded (Tzeentch has need of him yet)
Ablest (Black Legion) - Executed by Cyclor (replaced my Mortaan, for now)

We have had news of more Orks arriving in crude hulks and swarms of ships, the Imperials will summon help to deal with this, we will keep our presence hidden from them for now. Tau? What purpose could they have so far from their own kind?

+++As my warband awaits reinforcements let those who step foot on this planet be warned, Chaos will not relent, I will not relent, all shall die, there is only war. . . . . . .+++

TOFG Month 2

Ok so these are my Terminators, you wont be seeing them until the Apocalypse game as their on sebaticle lol being replace by my Scourged squad who follow the same God but can be bothered to turn up for battles. Im quite pleased with these and Im sure those who I mentioned to that I was painting the blue and purple would have been expecting gayer looking models but they turned out good.
